WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF SAVE UGANDANS ORGANISATION

Team to Save Ugandans - Restoring hope in communities, Christmas donation!

The members of Save Ugandans Organization (SUO) in Masaka district  observed extreme poverty within the households with orphans and other vulnerable children (OVC); with no dependable source of income and the need to address the profuse psychosocial; food and nutrition; economic, care and support were at a great demand.

All these factors challenge the principal of universality and non-discrimination undermines equality and increases vulnerability and risk, with particularly detrimental effects to children.

The caregivers of OVC, teachers, local and religious leaders report a chronic food and nutrition, social and economic insecurity hence the holistic development of a child is to a great extent determined by the capacity of all duty bearers to meet their obligations to the child. By crippling the ability of parents/ caretakers as primary duty bearers for children, the above problems mentioned exposes the child to multiple vulnerability.

This prompted the members of SUO to initiate this program in June 2009
